Meet the Speech Therapists

Deb Cooke

Mrs. Deb Cooke graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology and a Master's degree in Mild Disabilities.  Mrs. Cooke began her career as a Learning Disabilities Teacher at Lakeland School Corporation. She then moved to East Noble and was the Learning Disabilities (Resource Room) Teacher for 19 years.  Mrs. Cooke returned to her original degree of Speech Pathology and has been in that position for the past 14 years.  She is currently working full time at South Side Elementary. 

Mrs. Cooke is the mother of 3 sons.  She has 2 granddaughters and 4 grandsons.  Mrs. Cooke enjoys playing golf, reading, kayaking, biking and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary Richardson

Mrs. Richardson holds a masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Ball State University and maintains a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) as a nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist through the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). Mrs. Richardson has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals and private clinics, and has been in the public schools for 7 years. She is currently the Speech Therapist for Wayne Center Elementary and East Noble Middle School.

Mrs. Richardson loves spending time with her husband and daughter and enjoys gardening, baking, watching movies, and going on family trips.

Brittany Hursh 
Miss Hursh has earned her bachelors degree from Indiana University and her masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Cincinnati. She has worked in outpatient rehabilitation in the medical setting with adults in addition to being the SLP at Avilla Elementary and St. Mary's. 

Miss Hursh enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also likes to cook, travel,  and go running in her free time.
